- Big campaign financing scandal emerging in the NRCC with direct implications locally in that Dave Reichert's 2006 campaign was boosted by almost a half million dollars of fraudulently obtained money. - The DCCC meanwhile announced their latest beneficiaries of campaign financial assistance and Darcy Burner is on the list.

- Looks like Sound Transit is close to deciding on whether to place a Light Rail measure on the November ballot. Ridership is way up, and 2008 will be a strong year for Democratic turnout. Seems like a no-brainer decision to me.
