Obama wins Drinking Liberally pre-Iowa Caucus Caucus

Tonight the Seattle chapter of Drinking Liberally held a pre-Iowa Caucus Caucus. There were about 50 participants and after an initial tally gave Edwards a 20 to 15 person lead over Obama, the final results came in with Obama on top:

mcjoan at Daily Kos was live blogging the event, and a good time was had by all.

Tomorrow we'll see how the surely numb and saturated Iowan caucus voters decide. Indications are it will be very close between Obama, Edwards and Clinton, with perhaps an outcome that decides nothing.

That's the Iowa-style result, with a 15% threshold.

In Washington, the 2008 precinct caucuses won't have any threshold at all. In that case, Obama's third delegate would instead be awarded to Clinton. Which is the way the outcome has been reported elsewhere (such as in mcjoan's diary that you've linked to).

Right. Also notice that RonK's spreadsheet reads 2004. We should have had him update that last night.

Heh. I noticed that on the copy he sent to me. I updated it to 2008 on my own computer.
