Bush And Reichert: An August Fund Raising Encore

Because this is the kind of thing sitting Presidents do to reward independent and bipartisan members of his party that are seeking re-election, right?
I don't think so.
Bush will be in Bellevue on Monday, August 27. Mark your calendars.
The Slog has the complete invite.
Reichert and Karl Rove have got to be pretty desperate to once again use Bush to help raise money for his campaign, especially given doing so plays into the hands of the Democratic opposition. Last year, Darcy Burner was able to negate the windfall from Bush's visit by raising well over $200,000 more than Reichert in individual contributions for the quarter in question. People were eager to contribute as a means of showing their opposition to Bush and his lap dogs.
So this year the entry price to see Bush has gone up ten-fold. I'm sure you'll be wanting to cough up a cool $10,000 to attend, and perhaps get a photo with Bush. Right?
While, the higher price for an attendee may turn off some would-be donors, if you can raise $10,000 that will get you in as well. Meanwhile, it will be hard to expect any kind of repeat counter-punch fund raising performance from the Burner campaign, but if you'd like to pitch in with your own contribution and message to Bush and Reichert, you can do so here.
Every little bit will help.
