Lieberman Channels McCain: "Iraq is Improving!"

This nugget in the paper today was priceless:

Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., came to Iraq to walk through a Baghdad market. His nephew, serving in Taji, was flown down to greet him and he had lunch with soldiers from the northeast. Lieberman told reporters things were improving; but the soldiers lunching with him said they didn't see progress.
First McCain and now Lieberman trying to prove everything is peachy keen in Iraq by strolling through a market. How pathetic can you get?

Well, you can claim things are improving, only to have the soldiers you're lunching with tell they're not. That's pretty damn pathetic indeed.

The poor soldiers over there must be wondering just what people like McCain and Lieberman are smoking!

Check out the flak jacket he's wearing to prove his point.
