Focus On I-912 GOP Opposition: David Irons

Darryl at Hominid Views tells us that GOP King County Executive candidate, David Irons, announced he was squarely against I-912 on KUOW's radio show, The Conversation.

As Darryl points out, not too long ago David Irons needed some coaxing for him to openly declare his opposition to I-912, but probably now that he has done a little more homework about the office he would like us to elect him to, he realizes that if I-912 were to pass it would be a significant problem for a sitting county head.

David Irons is yet another high profile GOP politician that is publicly against the Republican backed initiative. He is putting his political future on the chopping block by being in opposition, because the I-912 mob will not hesitate to eat their own and cut Irons down to size for his betrayal.

However, the real betrayal would be to Washington state as a whole were someone like David Irons to support an initiative that promises nothing but more gridlock, and more unsafe roads and bridges. David Irons has decided this is one game that he will not be a part of, and he should be commended for taking a stance in favor of the transportation bill and against I-912.
