Reintroducing the PNW Topic Hotlist

Back in April I introduced a new service that I had been working on called the PNW Topic Hotlist.

The Topic Hotlist is a sidebar feature that displays the latest hot topics of interest within the Pacific NW blogosphere.

I'd like to reintroduce the service because since that time it has grown bigger and better. The list of participating blogs includes some of the most influential progressive bloggers in the area. The mechanism used to cull the topic entries displayed has become more sophisticated and guarantees better coverage.

The Topic Hotlist really provides an excellent window into what people are talking about and where to read more on hot issues.

At the bottom of the section you will find a "PNW TOPIC HOTLIST" button. Click on it and it will open up a separate browser window that explains what the Topic Hotlist is and enable you to configure Topic Hotlist output in the format of your choosing, for use on your own Web page. You can then press a button to generate a simple Javascript tag that can be embedded within the Web page. Further adjustments to the output display can be done with CSS styles as you see fit.

Feel free to take a look, read more about it, and try it out on your own blog if you have one. The service is free and spreading it brings more exposure to all the participant blogs and the causes and issues they are covering. It think it really is a great tool for bringing together Pacific NW voices, and judging from the click-through stats, blog readers seem to agree.
