Say - you remember writing this?

Specifically (you were referring to the tsunami disaster at the end of 2004):

"Until yesterday's ten-fold increase of monetary aid, we were pledging less money that George Bush planned to spend on his own (totally unnecessary) re-inauguration, expected to cost tax payers $40 million."

Just wondering - you have any plans to discuss the upcoming $150M inauguration?

Just curious -

The short answer is yes.

If this is a roundabout way of suggesting that Bush's re-election inauguration equates to Obama's inauguration in excess, while the number is definitely high, my question was why do we need a re-inauguration event of any magnitude.

Today, for example was Chris Gregoire's re-inauguration event as Governor of Washington State. The cost is being paid for mainly from the tickets sold to attend. But re-inauguration events don't need to be such a big deal IMO.

You tell me what part of the cost you don't think is warranted in this case, and what part would be.
