Reichert backs Giuliani White House Bid

I'm half a world away and this pops up in my email:

U.S. Rep. Dave Reichert, Western Washington's only Republican congressman, has signed on as state chairman for the presidential bid of Rudy Giuliani and will serve as national co-chairman of Law Enforcement for Rudy.

...

Reichert said Giuliani's experience, leadership and record would serve the country well.

"As someone who has been involved in law enforcement and homeland security issues for over 35 years, I know Rudy Giuliani will be a tough, determined and principled leader. He transformed New York City into the safest large city in the country and has always shown courage in the face of challenges. He'll be a true leader for our country."
Three quick thoughts about this:

- Reichert will have his hands full if he runs for U.S. Congress again, or perhaps Governor if rumors have any value, so how he'll be able to help Giuliani is questionable.

- Reichert could be positioning himself for a cabinet position were Giuliani to win (don't laugh!)

- Reichert will look like a fool for backing a losing horse.

You got any others?

If we can't get Dino or Ellen, Mr. Reichert will do...
