Exxon's Record Profits
That's $3.37 billion more than they earned in 2005.
It is hard to put such numbers in perspective, but here is one:
Exxon earned more money per minute — $75,150 — than 90 percent of the U.S. population earned all year.Well at least one beneficiary of Republican backed government subsidies is doing well. Can we have back our cut, as tax payers, that those subsidies have helped earn? You know, so that we can help the economy by buying things... like more gas for our cars.

It's amazing that Exxon can pump crude out of the frozen tundra in Prudhoe Bay, pump it through a long pipeline, load it onto a tanker, sail it to Washington State, crack it in a refinery, deliver it to your neighborhood gas station and charge you less per gallon than you pay for bottled water, milk, and soft drinks. This is especially true when you consider that the federal and state governments are taking a far larger profit though taxes than Exxon. Oil companies have only half the profit margin of most businesses (approximately a dime per gallon). Their profits are large by the sheer volume of product they produce and deliver to market.
Oil companies are very efficient delivering you a low-cost product.
Grow up. You're a moron, a sophist at best.
