Larsen (WA-02) has large lead over Roulstone

A recent SurveyUSA poll shows Rick Larsen (WA-02) soundly beating Republican Doug Roulstone 58% to 35%.

This was the only seat in Washington state that Republicans thought they could steal from the Democratic tally, and it doesn't look at all likely they will be able to do so. Roulstone was always a long shot at best, despite fundraising efforts earlier this year by Dick Cheney to drum up support and dollars for the campaign.

I would expect that the Republican machine will eventually focus their resources on their two most endangered Republican seats in the state, WA-08, where Darcy Burner challenges Dave Reichert, and WA-05, where Peter Goldmark challenges Cathy McMorris. Both Republicans are freshmen in Congress, and both have strong Democratic opponents.
